The Role of the CTF

The role of the Campus Technology Facilitator is to represent the campus at regularly scheduled meetings. At the CTF Meetings, campus facilitators will share ideas/information/questions from a campus perspective, as well as receive content on new/upcoming/past initiatives from the Office of Instructional Technology and Learning Services (ITLS). Ultimately, it is up to the campus principal to make decisions about information shared with CTFs at these meetings. In the past, CTFs have served a valuable role in appraising both their campuses and the District of instructional and technology-related items.

This year each campus administrator must designate only one (1) Campus Technology Facilitator per campus for the 2014-2015 school year.  Our CTFs must attend the all CTF meetings and attend the CTF Innovators Program classes provided to help develop their technical and technology integration skills and knowledge.  Our instructor-led classes will take place after-hours and for this reason it is recommended that your CTFs be professional/certified personnel.

CTFs will be tasked with other duties such as planning, facilitating training to campus staff at assigned campuses.

Note: If a CTF cannot attend a required meeting, the campus must first notify the Director of Instructional Technology by emailing jtrudell1@saisd.net.  It is permissible for a campus to send a campus rep to a CTF meeting but only for that meeting.

I appreciate your hard work as a Campus Technology Facilitator (CTF).  If you have questions or need clarification, please contact the Office of Instructional Technology at 554-2430.
